Changing the Care Conversation (CTCC) Caregiver Coalition​ Guiding Principles/Priorities

The Changing the Care Conversation (CTCC) Caregiver Coalition will use the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers as its guiding principles as they raise their voice to advocate for the needs of family caregivers. The RAISE Act is a roadmap to improved services and supports for family caregivers.

The National Strategy proposes 5 main goals:
  1. ​Increase awareness and outreach
  2. Build partnerships and engagement with family caregivers         
  3. Strengthen services and supports
  4. Ensure financial and workplace security
  5. Expand data, research, and evidence-​         based practices

“At least 53 million people provide informal, and usually unpaid, care and support to older adults and disabled people of all ages in the United States” (AARP and National Alliance for Caregiving, 2020).
